The Reebok Company was created in the 1890s by Joseph William Foster. The reason this company started was that the athletes wanted to run faster. So he started to make shoe for top runners and created a worldwide clientele of famous athletes. The name Reebok was given by two of the founder's grandsons for an African gazelle, in 1958.
