Poland's mounting skiing resorts
The Best Polish mounting skiing resort and Poland’s "winter capital" the resort of Zakopane is situated in a beautiful valley of Tatra Mountains at an altitude of 850-1120 metres. The resort is bordered by Slovakia and is in 100 kilometres far from Krakow. Zakopane is 840 m above sea level and the ski season begins here in December and lasts till the end of April.
Fine environmental conditions, the unique nature, the cleanest water in cranes, the fresh air sated with vivifying balm of coniferous woods growing on mountains slopes and containing both microcells and essencials, is ideal for people got tired and weakened. In Zakopane there are three main areas for skating and skiing. The basic and the highest district with guaranteed snow is Kasprovy Top is located to the south from the resort and on the slopes of the main Tatra range. The area is at an altitude of 1988 m and has a cable car and dozens of ski lifts of various types. 4 km distance includes abrupt enough strips and allow driving at once in two valleys. To the west from the town is located the Gubaluvka range with one cable car, numerous ski lifts. Competitions on slalom are usually spent on small, abrupt enough slope of Nosal (930-1135m).
