The name of
the Mexican organization NACPEC stands for
North American Consumer Project on Electronic Commerce. Its main goal was to
supply useful on-line information sources in the field of e-commerce.

There are two main goals in
the organization's mission, one is the current and future needs of different
groups of consumers, practitioners in law that are associated to all sides of
e-commerce influenced by the regulatory affairs performed by the government and
its consumer legislation throughout the areas of North America and Europe.
The Mexican organization is
oriented towards consumers, consumer organizations, students and academics from
around the world, as well as consumer security and enforcement agencies. NACPEC
looks forward to help them get a better view on the regulatory features that
administer cross-border transactions performed via Internet. On both regional
and multilateral levels it also focuses on government, industry, civil society
and consumer groups, having the goal of facilitating their studies and analysis
of problems regarding consumer protection on e-commerce.
